Dr. Chandra Prasad Pokhrel: Associate Professor. Dr. Pokhrel obtained his M.Sc. degree in Botany in 1991 and M. A. degree in Anthropology in 1998 from Tribhuvan University and Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Science from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan in 2007. His major fields of interest are land use and soil properties, soil organic carbon and soil biology, agro-biodiversity,  green development, climate change, environmental migration, and mushrooms cultivation. Dr. Pokhrel is Associate Academician at Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and a member of the Climate Change Council, Government of Nepal. Dr. Pokhrel has research experience in several projects funded by national and international organizations. He has worked as a visiting scholar at Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Kyoto University, Kyoto Japan (August-January, 2013) and also worked as a research assistant at Laboratory of Forest and Forest Products Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University, Kyushu, Japan (July, 2003 to March, 2004). He has supervised two dozen M.Sc. theses. He has published over three dozen papers in national and international journals/publications. He has published three books.
