  • Gold Medal: "Mahendra Vidya Bhushan" Class 'B', 1992. For First class first in M. Sc. in Botany.
  • Cash award: From Nepal Bank Limited for Graduate (1989) and Post-Graduate (1991).
  • Meritious Scholarship: for M.Sc. in Botany (1988-1989).
  • Darwin Scholarship: October 1998-January 1999, for a training course and research for the project Nepalese Plant Database at The Natural History Museum, London, UK.
  • Darwin Scholarship: March 2003 - January 2006, for a training course 'Building Capacity for Plant Biodiversity Inventory and Conservation in Nepal' under Darwin Initiative Project (2003-2006) for "Flora of Nepal Project" that was carried out in Nepal and UK.
  • Educational Award: July 7th, 2005 from Ministry of Education.
  • University Grants Commission (UGC) Scholarship: 2006-2009.
  • M.L. MacINTYRE BEGONIA TRUSTS Scholarship: for part of a Ph.D. work at UK (Sept 2008-March 2009).

Teaching and Research Experience
About 18 years of teaching and research experience. Conducted research projects in collaboration with national and international organizations including, Nepal Environment and Scientific Services (P) Ltd. under Melamchi Water Supply Project, WWF-UK, WWF Nepal, National Trust for Nature Conservation (Nepal), National Geographic Society (USA), and UNESCO-People and Plants Programme and ICIMOD.
Worked as Faculty Supervisor for the 20 M.Sc. Thesis.
